  • Chef of the Year Competition
    Kirklands Hotel Sous Chef Robbie Penman competed in the final of Scottish Chef of the Year on 6th March 2013. Robbie won a place in the final after regional heats and competed against seven other chefs in a 3 hour live culinary competition at the Scottish Hospitality Exhibition at the SECC. The eight chefs had to prepare from scratch a three course meal for four people as well as make a fish course from a mystery basket of ingredients only given to them at the start of the competition. The competitors were judged by three of Scotlands top chefs as well as guest judge Albert Roux. After all his hard work we are delighted to announce that Robbie recieved the Bronze Medal, we are all very proud of this great achievement.
